After nearly three fantastic years in our ‘Seaside Mansion’, I have sold the premises that housed the Ostend Bagel salon & the Airbnb. There's a time, a way, and a place for everything in life. The time had come for me to sell this successful renovation project to young, innovative neighbours. Early summer 2020 they'll be opening a new breakfast and lunch concept at the premises.

The closure of Sanseveria Ostend had already been communicated to our regulars before lockdown. Due to COVID-19, however, this beautiful final stage came to an abrupt ending. All the trimmings and the accompanying party cake to celebrate the end made way for a period of quarantine, followed by creative entrepreneurship. In the third week already, we started making breakfast boxes and the setup of a genuine web shop to serve Bruges. We would have loved to keep the doors in Ostend open till the end of June, but that turned out differently. Therefore, we, as a team, would like to take this opportunity to say ‘thank you’ to those we haven't seen since lockdown. For the many second home owners especially, it will be a damper to find their favourite spot gone.

The team members that were working in Sanseveria Ostend have been employed in Sanseveria Bruges. Also now that we are quietly picking up the pace again in Bruges and looking positively toward a healthy, safe future. So Lowiese & Céline have joined the colleagues here.

I wish the sisters who have bought the premises all the best in their new project. The foundations for success have already been laid. And for those who are still hungering ... Well, feel free to pop by in our salon in Bruges. We are open 7/7 like before, from morning till afternoon. Welcome & stay safe!

… & Ostend? From now on, we'll be visiting the sea-side resort like a genuine tourist!
